Feedback: I got feedback that good pitches are done standing
up and include a solid hook in the beginning so I tried to incorporate that in this
pitch. I also have developed my idea more over the past assignments and the
target segment has changed from coffee and tea drinkers to people who need to
heat and cool food or drinks for work, family outings, or other events.

ReplyDeleteI have taken numerous speech classes in my time at UF and have found that the best way to attract your audience is to have a hook at the beginning of the speech. I think you did a great job of hooking people into your speech and getting them to listen. I also agree that your idea needed to be expanded a bit and am glad that you have taken that next step.

ReplyDeleteI am glad that you decided to add a hook. You did a great job in describing the inconvenience you described common events that take place such as soggy microwave food and taste bud issues. I also thought it was nice how you brought in the idea that people don't want others to think they're a bad cook. People often care what others think so this was a good hook.
Good job on using the feedback given. I still think this is a good idea since your product will allow you to warm or cool your food or drink. I agree that marketing your product to more than just the coffee and tea drinkers is a good idea. The food industry is so large that if you are able to include more than one the better your chances are in selling your product.
ReplyDeleteI feel like you presented this idea in a way that was very easy to understand and relatable. There are a lot of people who waste food because they don’t have time to heat it up or cool it down. This technology gives the user there own portable refrigerator with degrees settings, that could be a break through innovation on an industry.
