The segment I chose is people who bring their lunch to work
every day. I think that the people in this segment are usually older people who
have been in the work force for a while and like to save money by not going out
to lunch every day. In my mind, they usually have children and usually make
their own lunch as well as their kids lunch every night before they go to bed.
They drive a modest car; and they spend their weekends at the park or somewhere
else where they can safely enjoy spending time with their family. After work
most days, they make dinner for their kids and then spend some time watching
their favorite TV show or reading a good book.
Right now, I really don’t have too much in common with this
segment because I eat out a lot and I don’t have kids. But I do think, however,
that I will slowly become a part of this segment when I grow up a little bit.

I bring my lunch many days to work, not just to save money, but because I hate leaving and losing my parking spot. In Gainesville parking can sometimes be a headache, so for me bringing my lunch allows me to save at least one headache every day. I don’t think I have much in common with your avatar besides I do like to bring my lunch.

ReplyDeleteI can definitely see the connection between your product and your prototypical customer. Although I am not that similar to your avatar, I would consider your product to be helpful to me in my daily routine. This would save a considerable amount of money, especially when compared to eating out everyday and is something to consider. Great post!
I can definitely relate to this customer avatar in several ways. First, I tend to enjoy bringing my lunch to work because either I made the food I will be enjoying for lunch or it is left over food from a restaurant and enjoy having a good meal. There are several employees that I work with that don’t bring there lunch everyday and it’s a waste.
